Support David's Battle Against Pancreatic Cancer
Donation protected
My brother David might be one of the nicest people in the world. He was living in South Florida, helping our mother and working full-time when he became jaundiced and had to go to the emergency room on October 1. He was immediately admitted and diagnosed with pancreatic cancer within a couple weeks.
I moved him here to Ohio on October 16 to live with me and go to the James Cancer Hospital. We have since learned that he also has a tumor in his lungs that they suspect is cancer. He is very ill and his quality of life is low, but he started chemo on Friday, November 22 with a hope that perhaps they can shrink the tumor in his pancreas a little to potentially do surgery in the future. Currently the tumor is wrapped around his artery and they cannot do anything for him.
He had to spend Monday-Wednesday before Thanksgiving in the James to help control the pain. We are extremely grateful he got to come home for Thanksgiving. He isn't able to eat very much and has to take enzymes to help digest the food BUT at least we were together as a family on Thanksgiving. We are hopeful he will be well enough to get his second dose of chemo on Tuesday, December 3.
Needless to say, David is not able to work now. He really wants to but he is just too ill to do so. Since moving him and my mother here from Florida we are struggling financially. We know it will get better, but in the meantime, we could use a little help if anyone feels so inclined to give. If you know my brother, you know he would absolutely hate to ask anyone. I hate to ask as well but need is need. It is a bit of a last resort in order to get us through for a few months. We already have numerous appointments each week that are approximately 50 minutes to an hour away. All funds donated will go to gas, meals, medication, and medical expenses.
Another way to help would be to mail him a card to PO Box 335, Utica, OH 43080. I know it would lift his spirits a tad.
Thank you for reading this and please pray for David! Pray for comfort and peace. Pray for no anxiety. Pray for less pain. Pray for a miracle cure! We sincerely appreciate any and all help. Thank you!
