Hello, my name is Reem. I have created this fundraiser in hopes to save my family members from the ongoing crisis in Gaza. I am reaching out to you all in need of your support and assistance. This is my aunts story:

My name is Intisar Abushammaleh and I currently reside in Gaza, Palestine. I am a mother of seven children.

We once lived a normal life in a comfortable apartment, filled with dreams and aspirations. However, on October 7th, our world was turned upside down. We were forced to flee our home, which was destroyed moments after we left it. With no time to take even our clothes, we had no choice but to leave to spare our lives.

We moved south to Central Gaza, only to be forced further south to Rafah as the war caught up with us. Now, we live in a tent, enduring extreme weather conditions with barely enough food and necessities to survive.

Before the war, life was beautiful. I was the happiest mom on earth. My eldest daughter, Bshaer, married a wonderful man who worked as a nurse in Gaza. Tragically, her husband was martyred in December as he was collecting wood for his wife and family. She was newly married and pregnant with their first child. Their daughter, Ayla, was born two months ago, never having the chance to meet her father.

I am now the breadwinner for this little angel Ayla, who lacks many basic needs, including necessary vaccinations. Our situation is dire, and Ayla’s chances of survival in Gaza are very slim. A senior UN official recently stated that Gaza has become a graveyard for children. Today, I am appealing to you for help. I need your support to keep my children alive and provide them with a chance for a better future. We will use this money to evacuate to Egypt to start rebuilding our lives and provide basic necessities such as medical needs, food, water, clothing, and shelter.
