Byron's Kidney Transplant; Road to Recovery, He has so much to live for
Hello Family & Friends.
At the age of 34, Byron Frierson was diagnose with severe Kidney Failure resulting in 0% functionality of his kidneys. His life as he knew it had changed before his very eyes. This diagnosis had devastated not only Byron but his family and close network of friends.
Byron has been on dialysis for 9 years waiting for a successful kidney transplant. On November 16, 2016, he received the great news that a kidney maybe available for him. He was tested and proven the best match for the cadaver kidney. Bryon underwent kidney transplant surgery the same evening of November 16 to receive the " new" kidney. It is with all blessing, grace and mercy from God, the surgery was a great success.
Now that he has the new kidney, Byron will need a series of medicines to sustain the life of the kidney. As we all know, medical expenses are very overwhelming and a financial burden.
Throughout this journey of endless obstacles, Byron's only goal is to get back to his normal life and remember what it's like to live a healthy life.
THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP:
It is our hope and prayers that we can help raise monies to relieve the financial burden/medical expenses as Byron is on the track to recover. The anti-rejection meds can easily exceed $2,500.00 each month. The meds allows his body to believe it's his native kidney, therefore, he cannot live without the medicines on a daily basis. He will need the meds for the rest of his life. Any and all contributions will go directly to the medicine fund for Byron.
Byron has been a huge part of our lives for many years and has been a positive impact to all that have crossed his path.
He is a proud member of the Epsilon Lambda chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
