Dear Friends, Family and work colleagues of my close friend Byron Hartley.
I hope this message finds you all well.
I am reaching out to inform you about a fundraising initiative for our friend Byron Hartley of BJH Electrical, Scarborough.
Who as many of you already know, sadly recently suffered a cardiac arrest.
This has resulted in him been unable to work for the next few Months as he recovers at home.
Byron also cannot drive for the next six months, proving to be a huge blow to his working life and income he's used to earning.
Byron was visiting his father in York hospital who was ill, when he was informed of the worst possible news that his father only had weeks to live.
Approximately 20 minutes later Byron went into shock and suffered a cardiac arrest.
He has never had any heart problems in the past and has always been fit and well.
After extensive tests in hospital, it is thought that the reason behind his cardiac arrest was due to the severe shock of the terrible news about his father.
Another term used for this is broken heart syndrome.
This is caused by severe emotional stress or physical stress.
Byron was placed in intensive care for 4 days and would then go on to spend the next 4 weeks in hospital.
Sadly, 2 weeks after Byrons cardiac arrest while he was still in hospital, his father passed away.
Resulting in Byron now having to battle his own recovery, while also having to organise his fathers funeral and grieving over his loss.
Byron is now back at home recovering doing very well, however he’s got a tough road ahead of him before he gets back on his feet to full fitness.
Given Byron's self-employment as a local electrician and him having no income protection. The holiday season is fast approaching, I believe it would be a compassionate gesture to ease the financial strain on Byron and his wife, Bobbie. Ensuring he can heal in peace at home without the added stress of financial worries.
I have already initiated the fundraising with a £100 donation and kindly invite you to contribute any amount you feel comfortable with.
But don’t feel you have to donate anything and any amount is much appreciated.
The collected funds will for sure provide them with support during this challenging time.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and I understand that not everyone may be able to contribute.
Please consider sharing this message with others who may want to contribute.
We never know when life may present us with unexpected challenges, and your support can make a significant difference to Byron.
Thank you very much for your consideration and for taking the time to read this message.
