My name is Hannah, I'm a homeschooled junior out of the good old USA. In the past few months the Lord has opened the doors for me to travel to Chiang Mai, Thailand this summer to do some work for him. I will be traveling with 18 other students in July to work with a local village of political refugees in Chiang Mai. We will be leading them in bible studies, visiting the schools, teaching ESL and Vacation Bible School as well as prayer walking through the villages and city.
My hopes for this trip are 1) lead locals into a relationship with my Lord, 2) help start strong churches with strong leaders, and 3) train the mature believers to be missionaries themselves so that they can return to their home country and share their faith with those still under political oppression. I'm also very excited to see what the Lord will be doing in my life and the lives of my team mates during this trip.
Here comes the hard part... The total cost of this trip is around $3500; that covers airfare, in-country transportation, meals, study tools, room and board, and evangelism tools. All of these funds are due on May 1st. Yes, it’s a lot of money and little time but I have complete faith that the Lord will provide in due time. He's never failed me before and He won't fail me now.
More importantly than finances is prayer. I do strongly encourage you to prayerfully consider supporting me financially, however I even more strongly ask that you continuously pray for this trip in general. Pray for my spiritual preparedness, financial readiness, and that the gospel would move through me, my team, and the local people. I believe the Lord is going to do great things but prayer is an essential part to that.
