My name is Markelia Brown,I live in Jamaica.I have been struggling with my health ever since i was born..... My first surgery was when I was 3 years old. Even though I don't remember much the doctors told my parents  I wouldnt even make it to 6 years old but I did.I am 22 years old and I have been in and out of the hospital all my life whether it is for my Asthma or my sickle cell  either way I was always in the hospital.One of my most recent visits to the hospital I was informed that I had to do some check ups which wasn't a surprise to me since I've always been doing check ups with my doctor.... I did my check up and after my doctor told me that  i have an enlarged heart and  it is over working because I am anemic....That news came as another shocker to me but I didn't let it get the best of me.... I did an ultra sound because I wanted to know the severity of my condition and thats when I found out that my heart is leaking.Yes, I know.Just when I thought I have seen and heard it all. I was told one of my Valve need to be replaced and  replaced very soon.Not only did this come as a shocker to me and my parents but it also brought a huge financial burden upon us.Between paying  for my monthly heart medication and doctor appointments it is very hard for us to make ends meet.It is even harder because I was given strict and direct instructions by my doctor. I am  not to over work myself so therefore I can not get a job as I would like to do....I have to do a surgery on my heart to replace my valve very soon and I am asking everyone  to please help me towards my goal please of $15,000 USD.With this money I will use it to  go back and forth to all my doctor appointments, the main thing would be to pay for my heart surgery and also to fill all  prescriptions given to me. Whether its one dollar  or more, anything helps and would be extremely appreciated! My end Goal date is September 20th.
