Help Titan the SuperDog walk again!
Donation protected
Titan the SuperDog (as his fans will know) went down suddenly with grade 5 IVDD in September 2024. Luckily, his surgeon carried out an EHLD (extensive hemilaminectomy with durotomy) which saved his life.
Unfortunately, damage to his lumbar spine is quite severe and he has lost the ability to use his legs and the control of his bladder and bowel.
Since surgery though, he has wowed so many people with his recovery and his strength of spirit! He went through all his rehab successfully and was provided a wheelchair by Pumpkin & Friends Charity, which we are extremely grateful for. Titan still gets out and about and still competes in scent work! He does SWUK, NNA, Barnhunt (line drive) and U.K. sniffer dog!
We have been referred to Nicolas Granger at Bristol Vet Specialists who is THE vet in the U.K. at the forefront of stem cell treatment and research for dogs with spinal cord injury. Nicolas agrees that Titan is a candidate for the treatment and improvement is likely, alongside more intensive rehabilitation.
The cost of treatment is around £7,000. We want to give him the chance to be able to walk again and we have no more money to do so, having already maxed out his insurance money and our bank accounts. We also had to get a loan to pay off the rest of his surgical treatment.
That’s why Titan is asking you if you could give anything to help him have the chance of walking again. We are also trying our hardest to fundraise and find money for this treatment.
Even though he has a full life in his wheelchair, I know he would love to be able to walk again and do everything just like he did before. He still does get frustrated at himself for not being able to do things and this dog is my entire world. I’ll do anything for him. So please, if you can help give Titan the chance to walk again, please give what you can.
Any excess money raised will be given to Pumpkin & Friends Charity. They do so much for disabled dogs and their owners; providing wheelchairs, assistance and helping fundraise.
