Baby Gabby

Hello friends, we are colleagues of Clare Burley's. Our work team recently received very upsetting news about Clare & Rob's daughter, Gabby. Since we feel a bit powerless here and since both Mom and Dad are self employed entrepreneurs, we felt it helpful and worthwhile to set up a Go Fund Me account to show our love and support. Here is information regarding beautiful baby Gabby. Please keep her and her family in your prayers!

Hi everyone, just wanting to finally share why we’ve needed so many prayers and will continue to need them… our sweet little Gabby is in the PICU fighting for her life. We had a very sudden change of events Saturday evening after noticing her breath seemed labored and she had a cough that she just couldn’t get rid of. And while one ER didn’t think her lower oxygen level was “anything to worry about,” they still ended up transferring her to childrens Aurora campus via ambulance to give her access to the CF and PICU team she needed. Within 1 hour of admission it was code red and Rob was in a corner of the room watching 30 people try to save Gabby.

Her left lung is collapsed. Her right lung is not 100% and had some damage during her big scare due to pumping in such high levels of oxygen. They both have mucus from CF, they are stiff…and they are irritated from all of the procedures in the past 24 hours. We need all of the prayers please, PLEASE

Gabby is fully sedated and paralyzed with medication. The life support machine is taking out her blood, filtering it, and pumping it back through her heart, allowing her lungs to rest and repair.

We don’t want to go down a negative path, because we can’t and have to stay strong…but this is by far the most terrifying thing we’ve ever experienced. She’s on the highest form of life support and everything is being controlled by the fantastic team at Children’s, and ultimately...God. We just still feel Gabby has so much life ahead of her and she truly is a little sunshine and brings so much joy.

We are asking for prayers for her left lung to open up successfully and maintain. That her right lung can repair and clear out, and that her heart stays strong.
