Michele Grant and I have set up this fund for our dear friend, Liz Butler. She suffered a devastating stroke on Aug 31, 2024. Liz spent almost a month in ICU and is currently in a skilled nursing facility. Her prognosis is a long recovery, one to two years in a facility, perhaps assisted living or home with in-home care. The cost is overwhelming; Medicare will not pay for her stay in a facility beyond January 8, 2025. She does not have a long-term care policy; most of us don’t.

We have been overwhelmed with love, prayers, and support. We appreciate it beyond measure. We believe that you helped bring Liz to where she is today. She is talking; she is not walking, hopefully that will come. She’s fighting, but we need help to keep her where she can get her therapy and the help that she needs to come back.
