Hello (again)!

I am writing to you all on behalf of our friend Jenifer and her continued journey with Breast Cancer. Her chosen family and friends, are asking for a last push of help has she comes towards the finish line. The bumpy cancer road never ends, but on January 6th Jen will be undergoing reconstructive surgery.

Jen is stuck between a rock and a hard place. She is currently working 2 shifts at a restaurant, but if she takes on more work she would loose her insurance which covers her cancer treatments. When the pandemic assistance was active she was able to squeak by, but once that program ended it has left her having to live off of a rapidly decreasing savings.

We are reaching out to our community to help with medical costs, the possibility of hiring a nurse/home-care post surgery, rent for her apartment, groceries, and other costs she has endured. This would take an enormous amount of stress off of our friend, which has continued to be hit hard by many life factors.

Jenifer continued to undergo chemo, radiation, and hormone therapy all while everyone returned to "normal". Cancer makes people uncomfortable and when it isn't physically manifesting in front of you, it is easy to go about your life. But Jen hasn't been able to return to normal. We have collectively been through a traumatic 2020/2021, here's hoping 2022 is more kind to us all.

On 1/6/22 Jenifer will undergo undergo a Bi-lateral Mastopexi. This is a huge step towards closing the door on breast cancer. The surgery will leave Jen out of work for a few weeks, impacting the little income she has. We'd like to be by her side as much as possible, but there is a chance hired help may be in order to aide the healing process the first week.
