Support Andrés' Fight Against Lymphoma

Hello Tamarindo community and beyond.

I am writing today to ask the community for help to help my friend Andrés. Sadly, after intense Dengue fever complications, it was discovered that he has Lymphoma cancer. Also, due to the intense dengue complications he went through, he has lost some mobility in his legs and cannot walk. He is only in his 30s!! The doctors say it is possible to learn to walk again, but it could take months of therapy, which the Costa Rican government CAJA system says he cannot focus on walking now, but just on his chemo. He will be for who knows how long in chemo treatments without proper care to strengthen his body and muscles to fight this condition.

I am writing this post today to ask for donations for him because he used to be a receptionist at La Palapa Hotel, and he will now be incapacitated for the near future. We don’t know when he can return to work due to his condition.

We plan to use the donation money for healthy food during his treatments, transportation to his chemotherapy, and a physical therapist to come to his house weekly to help him gain strength

Andrés has been a light in my life. He’s truly an amazing friend and human being. I want to do everything I can to help support him in such a tough time. Hola comunidad de tamarindo y más allá.

Les escribo hoy para pedir ayuda a la comunidad para ayudar a mi amigo Andrés. Lamentablemente, después de intensas complicaciones por el dengue, se descubrió que tiene cáncer de linfoma. Además, debido a las intensas complicaciones del dengue por las que pasó, ha perdido algo de movilidad en las piernas y no puede caminar. ¡Solo tiene 30 años! Los médicos dicen que es posible aprender a caminar de nuevo, pero podría llevar meses de terapia, Lo cual el sistema CAJA DEL gobierno costarricense dice que no puede enfocarse en caminar ahora, sino solo en su quimioterapia.

Quién sabe cuánto tiempo en los tratamientos de quimioterapia sin el cuidado adecuado para fortalecer su cuerpo y los músculos para combatir esta condición. Hoy escribo este post para pedirle donaciones porque el fue la recepcionista en el hotel La Palapa en Tamarindo Centro, y ahora estará incapacitado para un futuro próximo

No sabemos cuándo puede regresar al trabajo debido a su condición.

Planeamos utilizar la donación para alimentos saludables durante sus tratamientos, transporte a su quimioterapia, y un fisioterapeuta para venir a su casa semanalmente para ayudarlo a ganar fuerza
