Help Marisa, Lay Her Son, Jamie, to Rest

Our hearts are broken as we share the story of our dear [friend/sister/mother/aunt) Marisa Gentile. In 2010, her world was shattered when her son, James — known lovingly to his friends and family as Jamie — went missing for 15 years . For years she lived with the pain and uncertainty of not knowing what happened to him, carrying hope in her heart while enduring a weight no mother should ever have to bear.

After all these years, Jamie’s remains have finally been identified. While this brings long-awaited answers, it has opened up an unimaginable grief. Marisa is now faced with saying a final goodbye to her son — something no parent is ever prepared for.

As a single mom of 4 boys, she has carried so much on her own. Now, on top of her heartbreak, she is also faced with the overwhelming costs of giving Jamie the funeral and farewell he deserves, while trying to stay afloat during this painful time.

We are asking for your support to help ease some of this burden. The funds raised will go toward:

• Funeral and memorial expenses for Jamie

• Helping Marisa with basic living costs while she takes time to grieve and heal

•Donation for enfants retours in behalf of Jamie’s name

No mother should have to worry about finances while laying her child to rest. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and show this wonderful mom that she is not alone in this journey.
