The Blake family has a long journey ahead! Their son Eli has "Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia." With treatment, it has a very high survival rate, but he will need chemotherapy and blood transfusions. Eli is non-verbal, which makes diagnosing, explaining, and even giving medications difficult. Right now they are on a 2.5 year course of treatment. They've also had some issues with the feeding tube. The average cost of treating a child with leukemia can run anywhere from $60,000 to $120,000.
