My name is Alyssa, and I am starting this GoFundMe for my 3-year-old cat, Midnight “Bubba”.

On the night of January 6th, Bubba began yowling. This is not uncommon, so I began to pour him another bowl of food before he moved to the door yowling. As a proud indoor-outdoor cat, Bubba is committed to going outside even if there’s 5 inches of snow outside the door! Assuming he wanted to go outside, I set his bowl down for him and began getting ready for bed.

The morning of January 7th, Bub began yowling again. I noticed he didn’t touch the food in his bowl. Growing concerned from the tones of his yells, I began feeling him to see if he was hurting. After checking his head, ears, neck, and back, I began to “baby cradle” him to have a view of his stomach. Bub has always loved laying on his back and having his tummy rubbed or scratched, but upon turning him over, he began yelling. After a few seconds, I spotted the problem. He is bleeding through his private areas, and his belly/abdomen area is twitching and hard to the touch.

After consulting with nearly 25 vets in and out of the state of Kentucky, it is most likely that he is blocked and cannot properly urinate. Without hospitalization, Bubba will most likely not make it through the next day. I don’t have much, but the thing I am most proud of is my (fur)son Midnight. He is the loyalest boy you will ever meet. He loves getting up on your shoulder and giving hugs, and occasionally—if you’re lucky—you can steal a kiss from him. Midnight loves his nose boops and Heinz Mustard and Ketchup packet cat toys.
