One Punch UK & Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice
Last year, my family and I felt the devastating effects of how a single moment can change lives forever.
On 22nd December 2018, my stepdad Peter Bradfield was victim to a fatal punch.
He was knocked unconscious before hitting the ground, unable to break his fall, leading to a large right-sided subdural haemorrhage. He died two days later on Christmas Eve from a catastrophic brain bleed.
Two years prior to this, my family and I also felt the heartbreaking effects of the disease we can all relate to so well. Our family friend Pam Loveridge had a dizzy spell leading to a fall that broke her hip. In her admittance to hospital, it was discovered she had terminal cancer; and she passed away 2 months later after a short but courageous battle.
I will be pushing myself both physically and mentally on challenges throughout the year in aid of One Punch UK and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. Whilst improving my own life, I want to help others.
The challenges I will face are:
5K Tough mudder
National 3 Peaks
400ft Bungee Jump
A year alcohol free (goodbye for now gin!)
10k Chase the Moon run
Thank you in advance for any contributions. Our little steps may just go a long way.
