Hi my name is Donna Lake. I have started this go fund me for my dear friends Vanessa and Craig. Here is their story

Vanessa and Craig Lagano

They met at age 16 fell in love and married at 19

Starting a life together. Hard working, settling into careers they bought their first home, life fell into place, that is until 2022, when their world was turned upside down.

Bittersweet.

CRAIG

April 2022

At age 44 Craig is diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer

Doctors recommend Radiation to shrink the tumor then Chemo.

The out look is very hopeful.

Craig can no longer work, losses his job.

VANESSA

Working at Pro Health (started at age 16)

Vanessa was very happy and started to move up within the Provider. Working up to Management, you can only imagine how thrilled she was when Pro Health created a position, in the Spring of 2022, working from home with a pay increase.

This position was perfect. Home to work and monitor Craig’s needs, along with a pay increase.

January 2023

Vanessa’s position, as well as the entire department is eliminated.

Shock and disbelief!

Her only option is to accept a new position within Pro Health attached with a significant pay cut. This in order to continue Insurance coverage.

Craig

February 2023

The tumor is still present, surgery is required.

After a years battle, which he is still fighting, disability relief is

rejected several times.

VANESSA and CRAIG

This seems to be the common story among those diagnosed with life threatening illness. Vanessa and Craig are struggling with emotional, health and financial challenges.

We all have experienced challenges weather illness or a loved one’s illness. We come together to help in a time of need.
