Help save Ginger's life
Ginger has developed a mysterious problem in her lung over the course of a year, and I've already exhausted all of my college funds trying to diagnose her. I've finally reached a stage where Ginger has been tested for almost everything, they couldn't find cancer, bacteria, or fluid in her lung (which is now collapsed). Ginger needs a CT scan which can cost up to $4,300, which is out of the realm of possibility for me as a low income student. I have been emotionally torn to pieces trying 4 different veterinary clinics and now a specialist in order to diagnose her and save her, she has had numerous X-rays (which I've had to pay extra to get a professional to look at, and recieved no answers), blood work, and a thoracentesis which caused her lung to bleed but she recovered (An inexperienced vet performed the procedure and he said it was the first time he had done it on a cat that didn't die, which I only learned after he had it done, which brought me to tears and anger, he didn't really care about Ginger). She is an otherwise healthy cat, and she isn't physically deteriorating which gives me hope and brings me sadness, because she is still fighting as hard as I am to get through this. The only problem she has are her painful coughing episodes which happen many times a day, where she struggles to breathe and cannot produce anything to cough up. She is on medication to suppress her cough, but it's running low and is quite expensive. I'm at my end, and I don't want to give up on Ginger, I will fall apart for her and do whatever I can to save her, she means the world to me and if I could use every cent I have, I would. And I almost have. I have almost $400 to my name and that can't get the job done despite all of my efforts.
This is an emergency and I have been crawling through this as far as I can go, but I'm unable to continue without some help, this is her last hope, and my own.
With these funds I can get Ginger her CT scan and once they find out what is in her lung/ has developed on her lung, they have two options:
-remove the lobe fully to prevent the coughing further, and Ginger will live on
-Prescribe her the proper medicine to fight the illness and she lives on
There is a risk to this all, of course. And that scares me more than ever, but her only hope is to move forward with tests or she will perish from her illness, and I will fight until the end for her.
I will post all of her records and bills here, along with the estimate of the CT scan and her X-rays.
(I've never made a gofundme before so I will try my best to figure out links and pictures)
-If you donate over $50 I will draw your pet/character/anything you prefer (no NSFW), I've drawn my whole life and take commissions as often as I can, and I'm willing to give back to those who help me out. I will post examples of my art when I figure out how. (if I don't do it in fast enough time, you can look at my art @miskit on twitter, and message me there or at my email). I will answer all questions and concerns, as well as post videos or pictures if requested.
