Please, help me avoid homelessness.

My mother, with whom I had shared an apartment since 2015, passed away unexpectedly three weeks ago. For financial reasons, I had to give up our apartment at the end of December.
I have been on a subsidized housing waiting list in Greensboro since 2017, and have been told there is still nothing available for me. If it were not for the kindness of an old friend allowing me to stay temporarily in his home, I would be homeless right now.
I have applied for a HUD, income based apartment in another city where more housing is available to those of us on fixed incomes who depend on subsidized housing as our only means of avoiding homelessness. Unfortunately, the wait time for the apartment to become available is said to be at least six months and possibly as long as a year.
Due to my income, my only option is to wait, and I don't know what I can do in the meantime other than try to come up with funds to help me afford a stable place to live until the HUD based apartment becomes available to me. The funds raised will go directly towards rental deposit and rent, as well as utility deposits.
I understand that most people I know cannot financially afford to help, so I am asking if you could please take a moment to share the link to my GoFundMe as a means of it reaching those who might be in a position to donate. I am getting pretty desperate, so I do not really know what to do but ask for help.
Thank you.
