Hello and thank you for reading my story. Last May I became sick with what I thought was a routine upper respiratory illness. After 3 months of antibiotics, steroids, and inhalers I went for further testing. Tests showed a defective heart valve (from birth but never symptomatic until now). Of course this can be easily fixed, but after a visit to the cardiologist, I find out I have a complication from the bad valve that is now considered an aortic aneurysm which will require major heart surgery and recovery time.
I have faith in my doctors and my health is good and I have age on my side for the moment (never thought I'd say that at 51), but I currently have no medical insurance. I have several tests to be done prior to surgery and then a possible two week hospital stay for the heart surgery. I am not working at this time and I'm a single mother with my daughter at home.
I am just trying to get through this with a positive outlook and I appreciate any help you can give , and if that means nothing at this time, just send good thoughts and prayers my way.
Thank you and God Bless!
Jackie
