Wendy Nicole Shindler (49) daughter of Robert Shindler and Janet Hoke, of Greenbelt, Maryland passed peacefully in her home on August 16, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. Wendy was born in Laurel, Maryland and grew up in Greenbelt, Maryland with her mother, step- father Dick Hoke and her sister Serena.  Wendy had many friends in Old Greenbelt and made high school friends at Sandy Spring Friends School. Growing up, Wendy spent many childhood summers in Wildwood, New Jersey to visit her grandparents.  She also enjoyed her summers at Greenbelt’s pool, lake, and the youth center. The small town of Old Greenbelt was a place where friends were more like family. The friendships Wendy made there have lasted a lifetime.  In her childhood and adolescence, Wendy could be described as quiet or even shy. As she got older, she created her own lifestyle which included meeting Ted Pindell, the father of her daughter. Wendy moved to Florida with daughter Tiffany in 2015. Soon after, Wendy's family (mother, sister, brother-in-law and nieces) followed. Tiffany was the light of her life. The entire family loved Disney World and spent a lot of their free time there together.   Wendy loved to provide new experiences for her daughter, particularly while on vacation. Wendy’s favorite vacations were to Maine and Disney World. One of Wendy’s favorite things to do was finding a new restaurant with good food and sharing the information with her family and friends. Surviving family members include daughter Tiffany; as well as Tiffany’s father; Ted Pindell, her mother Janet Hoke; her sister Serena Ferreira her brother Max and sister Mary Shindler; her brother in law Thomas Ferreira; nieces Rebecca Shindler and Grace Ferreira; nephew Tommy Ferreira; stepmother Debra Grubbs.
