We are fund raising for our 2 year old cockapoo Maisie’s vet bills. Maisie was taken critically ill on the 14th of August with breathing difficulties and blood in her chest, after being referred to a specialist hospital and after having a CT scan it was found that she had a large mass in her chest that was attached to hers ribs and her diaphragm. Maisie went into surgery that night to have the mass removed but in order to do this they had to remove three ribs, part of her diaphragm and one of her phrenic nerves that helps with her breathing. The 72 hours that followed her surgery she was still bleeding into her chest and struggling to breath and the vets said she would need to go on a ventilator and prepared us that she was unlikely to make it. Despite all this she pulled through and didn’t need the vent proving what a little fighter she is! Unfortunately the biopsy that was taken from the mass came back as cancerous and she has now been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Maisie is now going through a course of chemo and we are hoping that it hasn’t spread anywhere else. We have done everything we can for Maisie as she is our baby and she is only 2 years old so has so

much life to live! Unfortunately in order to do everything we could has also come to a very big vet bill of £24,000 and despite us having insurance it only covers £6,000 of this.
