Update 3/24-1 month down! Elbert is back home recovering alongside his dad. He gave us a little scare last week and needed a revision surgery on the hardware in his leg, but is again recovering well. Everyone at the vet's office was so glad to see him and gave him all the love and scratches. We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the donations and amazing outpouring of support from the community near and far.

2 weeks ago, Elbert was living his best life in the mountains of Colorado and got caught in an avalanche. He was the bestest boy and stayed with his dad until the Search and Rescue team were able to get them both out of danger. After amazing help from friends, the Search and Rescue teams, and the staff and doctors at the Vet’s office, we think he will make a full recovery. While we are so grateful to still have him here with us, pet care is very expensive and we now have a vet bill of almost $30k. We are extremely appreciative of any donation and so grateful to have our pup still with us today.
