For many years, my younger brother, Chris, has battled juvenile diabetes.
After so many years, the stress is taking a toll on his internal organs.
He is currently in renal failure due to the years of stress on the kidneys.
On Feb. 18, 2016 he began immediate external dialysis.
An internal catheter was placed 2 weeks ago, but has not yet healed enough to begin internal dialysis.
The dialysis is hopefully a temporary situation. Both my mom and I are matches for living donors and are being evaluated by the transplant team.
Chris will likely have to resign from his job due to the time spent in the hospital. These funds will help to ease the financial stress of all the hospital bills and loss of income.
