Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved father, Floyd McCorvey Jr. As we begin to process this deep and painful loss, our family is faced with an urgent situation.

Floyd is currently at the medical examiner’s office. Our wish is to bring him to a funeral home and lay him to rest with the dignity and love he deserves. Sadly, after searching thoroughly, we were unable to locate any life insurance policy, and no funds were set aside for final expenses.

To make things even more difficult, we cannot access any of Floyd’s accounts or assets until we receive an official death certificate, which can take time. This has left us without the means to cover the immediate costs of transportation and funeral arrangements. Big Floyd has one son Floyd Tarice (Reecee). It’s unfortunate that 95% of Reecee’s family on his mother and father’s side live in the Midwest. We are hoping that friends, family and community will embrace Reecee at this difficult time.
