Save My Home From Foreclosure

Hi, I am trying to stave off foreclosure and stay in the home I’ve lovingly created for my little family. It is very difficult for me to make this ask but I believe in the power of a community to uplift my family. I am silencing the inner critic and negative self talk and all the pride and shame surrounding this. We all need help sometimes, and this is my time to ask. 


My 8-year old son and I live in Seattle. As a person of color, I believe in creating a legacy for my son. I worked hard for what I thought would be my 40 acres and a mule. Then I was laid off from my tech job in 2015.  I responded to this setback by putting my energy into starting my own business, which did not grow the way it needed to in order to provide for my family. I’m actively pursuing opportunities in tech again, but as we all know, the job search has been a long hard slog. 


As of 11/15/19 I owe the bank $10,982.07 plus fees. I have spoken to the bank and I need to raise this by the end of this month Dec 2019. I also need a few more months’ mortgage to get us through Winter while I continue my job hunt.
