A group of parents have been working with the Ms Hrabovsky (school secretary) to ensure that all BWE teachers who want a HEPA filter air purifier in their room are able to receive one.  Prior to this collaboration, 31 teachers had air purifiers purchased with donations from families in their classrooms. At this time, we found we still have 22 units that need to be purchased for remaining classrooms, including block teachers. This is an unofficial request (not BWE, PTA or CCISD sanctioned) to help raise money for these units. We do not want anyone to feel obligated to contribute, but wanted to provide a way for those interested to be able to donate to this cause. The most recent CCISD live stream made mention of the filter donations happening across the district. They stated they are highly appreciative of these donations as a supplement to the existing HVAC units, as another measure to help keep our children and staff healthy. Any excess donations will be put towards replacement filters, which need to be changed approximately every 6-8 months per manufacturer recommendations.

Please leave a comment indicating if you are donating on behalf of a certain grade level or class. While we cannot guarantee that your donation will go to a specific room, we will do our best to allocate funds as equitably as possible.
