Update 8/4- Mom gave it a good try but at this time trying to recover from brain surgery and radiation she has made it clear that she wants someone to take over the responsibilities of her her medication intake. We tried multiple ways and after many failures she has decided to stay at a very nice place with a lot of freedom and she can basically do what she wants. She is safe there. They home cook her meals whenever she wants. Give her meds as needed. This takes the weight off of her shoulders to focus on recovering and routine. She will be here until or if she wants to leave. Right now she does not want to leave. So this was ultimately her choice but we are glad because living alone was just too hard right now. Ill keep the place private here but feel free to contact me. Update 5/22- Got the staples out of her head Doc said it’s healing up well. Tomorrow she is getting fitted for a mask for getting pinpoint radiation on the spot on her head to be sure they have killed all the cells. She will receive 4 treatments in 4 days and then hopefully begin immunotherapy. Thank you for continued support.

Update 5/15-Sarah is recovering well. She is supposed to lay low and slow. She is on anti seizure meds for at least 2 months and pain meds as needed. We are taking good care of her. She has a great appetite. She is happy to be home with her cats. She will start radiation on her head and soon after immunotherapy all in these next two weeks. Update 5/9-surgery went well. As of tonight out of ICU and doing very well. No confusion anymore. Trying to keep selling down and pain under control. Should be home by the weekend and then bed rest. Thanks everyone

Update 4/30– went into hospital feeling a little confused with a bad headache that had been bothering her for a couple days. After some tests they did find a SMALL mass on the outside of her brain. So basically the lung metastasized into the brain which is very common and they caught it early. Her team of doctors came in with a plan to go in and take it out beginning of next week. Then after about two weeks of healing a few radiation treatments on the area to make sure all cancer cells are killed. Doctors are very positive about it. However, now immunotherapy is on the back burner momentarily. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the donations, kindness, and support. 

Sarah my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and also breast cancer back in November. She is still going through other treatment and beginning immunotherapy in May. She did chemo and radiation for 6 weeks. Still healing from a mastectomy and is fighting the fight. She has however been waiting for social security help and it’s still not here. She really could use any help. We are just trying to pay the rent off and keep the roof over her head. Thanks in advance. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
