Support the project and donate to help get Crossing Over:Immigration Stories.

It's not easy asking for help, especially in a time of such polarizing times. I am an artist working with immigrants, decedents of immigrants, and asylum seekers with an opportunity to share the artwork created based on their stories of immigration. It's an amazing opportunity, and I'd like to see it lead to more opportunities. More opportunities to record more stories, create more artworks, and share throughout the U.S. and the world.

This particular opportunity will cost $17,000 out of pocket. I have raised $4500 through residencies and exhibition participation. I am looking to raise just $7000 through this GoFundMe to help further the exhibition along the way.

Please participate if you can. Please share if you have friends who might be able to participate as well.

Thank you to those who have already donated!
It is appreciated more than you will ever know.
Thank you!

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Immigration Stories: IT and Crossing Over Mexico-US: An Immigration Oral History is a social documentary using the alternative photographic process banner cyanotypes and audio interviews to create storytelling oral histories of immigration from Mexico to the U.S. and other asylum seeking stories. This project now has the opportunity to travel the world to be shown at Palazzo Mora for the world to see! Please help make this possible!

All people are important. All stories are meaningful. When you listen, you learn. When you learn, you see. You can see a deeper humanity, a deeper thread, a common ground.

This fundraiser will benefit all those who gave their time to share their stories of immigration and asylum seeking. The funds raised here will go directly to fund the costs associated with the exhibition of the banner portraits and audio interviews of over 35 people who share their story of immigration.

Expenses have been accumulating and are quickly becoming overwhelming, yet are needed to see that this project reaches so many people across the world.

Past artists to exhibit with the European Cultural Centre at Palazzo Mora in Venice have been amongst many blue chips artists like, Jeff Koons, Nancy Burson, Yoko Ono, and more. This is an opportunity for each of these stories to be shown and heard at this critically important venue.

Your support, no matter how small, matters exponentially to the project. Your donation will go towards the costs for insurance, transport, and installation of the show in Venice. It will also support the creation of additional oral histories and cyanotype banner of asylum seekers living in transition in Europe.

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider supporting this project! I am so grateful for your support. I promise to pay it forward.
