- A

I am John Seabury, self employed visual artist and musician.
I created Pynoman as the mascot of my band Psycotic Pineapple, starting in 1974.
I have performed with dozens of local music acts as vocalist and bass player.
I have created record covers, posters and other graphics for local and international music acts,
often for independents at very low rates.
I was nominated for a Grammy (for CD package design) for Kevin Gilbert's "The Shaming of the true". My work appears in both rock poster tomes "The Art of Rock" and "The Art of Modern Rock".
I am a Berkeley native and I've been living and working in the east bay area my whole life. It has always been home to me.
But the sad reality of our local economy is that self-employed people like me are being economically forced out of our homes and often out of the area altogether.
I am currently in bankruptcy (I tried buying a home ten years ago, but defaulted and lost it).
This fund raiser is to raise enough funds for me to afford to move. I don't even know where I'm going to move, but I need to try and stay within an hour's drive of the central SF bay area. That's where most of my work is. And I need to stay close enough to my daughter, she is a 30 year old low-functioning autistic woman living in a home in Novato.
I only have five weeks left here, so time is of the essence.
TAKE NOTE:
I don't intend this to be strictly charity. I have a wide inventory of graphic arts for sale, and anyone who donates will recieve something, from T shirts and posters up to signed edition prints and original works of art, depending on the donation amount. I will not publicly advertise prices, but I'm willing be very generous in that respect.
Thank you all in advance !
John
