I never thought I would be here asking for help, but my dog Blu is in critical condition, and I don’t know what else to do. She has an intestinal blockage that may or may not be caused by a foreign object and needs immediate surgery. They won't know any answers until they go in. She hasn’t been eating, she can’t keep water down, and time is running out. The cost can range from $6,000–$8,000, and I simply can’t afford it alone so promptly.

Keeping her home is extremely risky. A blockage can quickly turn into sepsis, and if her body crashes, the only option would be an emergency euthanasia to prevent her from further suffering. That’s why she needs surgery as soon as possible.

I’ve been back and forth with the heartbreaking decision of putting her to sleep. We were about to let her go, but after receiving fluids, she wagged her tail, walked around, and showed me she still wants to fight. That moment gave me hope, and I couldn’t give up on her.

I’ve cried more than I can explain. My heart is breaking watching her suffer quietly, knowing time is running out. But I want to fight for her life. She is only over a year and has always been full of love and joy and energy , and I believe she deserves a chance still.

UPDATE: We found an amazing Dr who was willing to do the surgery with us paying in payments. However the bill is sitting at around $6000 and still needs to be paid asap. I'm doing my best to pay what I can out of my own pocket but I know there is still after care and future check ups and certain prescribed food that will be needed.
