Steph’s Support System

My name is Jess and I am a friend of Stephanie’s. Steph is one of the first people that I met after years of depression and isolation. I witnessed firsthand how quickly she can jump into action to help. From anything like being my personal cheerleader at 2am or giving me a mattress five minutes after I post that I need one. Bottom line, if she CAN help, she WILL. And if she can’t, she’ll give you resources or send a message to her community.

That’s just who she is. She’s got a big personality and an even bigger heart.

That’s my experience with her and I know I’m not the only one.

Stephenie has always been the first to help someone else whether it’s giving away furniture, groceries, clothes, or just being there when you have nothing left. If you know her, you know she’d rather fight through it alone than to ask for help. But right now, she shouldn’t have to. She shouldn’t have to ask.

Her business took a hit for the first time in a decade. Her car is down, her phone’s busted, she has to move by the end of July, she’s got medical stuff hanging over her head — all while raising Kamoa and holding everything together by sheer will.

This isn’t about charity. It’s about giving back to someone who has done this for all of us, over and over again.

We’re asking for $10,000 to help her breathe while she finds her footing:

• A safe place for her and Kamoa to land (rent & deposit) — about $4,000

• Car repairs and phone — about $1,500

• Groceries, utilities, basics — about $1,500

• Medical costs — about $1,000

• A small cushion for the unexpected
