Electric Wheelchair needed

Donation protected
**Update** We have gone to buy the wheel chair today and the most suitable is £2000 for her accessibility.

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am fundraising for my mum who has Parkinson's. Her name is Elizabeth and her mobility has greatly deteriorated, we were decanted into a hotel for over 11 months due to our landlord destroying our bathroom to fix a wider issue that we were not affected by. The building next to us had a blockage in its sewage pipe, sadly the pipe ran through our building and began leaking into a large number of apartments in our building. It turns out the business below would not grant access, so we were asked to grant access instead, as the stack pipe was accessible through the walls of our bathroom. So they destroyed our accessible bathroom (which both my parents rely heavily on) and contaminated a large number of our belongings with raw sewage.

Being in a hotel for 11 months with no disability aids took its toll and now she can not go out without the use of a wheelchair, prior to this she was using a walking frame.

Anyone with disabilities will know being stuck in a wheelchair and having to rely on others to push you is a detriment to their self-confidence and independence. My dad is also disabled with a degenerative neurological condition so is unable to push her. And my sister and I work full time so she often has no one to push her, so lately she has been stuck at home. Aside from the difficulties she already has, she now has this weighing heavy on her and is a detriment to her mental health.

We have been advised to get her an electric wheelchair, but as you can imagine £1500 does not grow on trees. I am doing this fundraising page in the hope I can raise enough money to purchase her the electric wheelchair and get her independence back. My mum was someone who used to be able to go for short walks with the walker to walk our dog and pop to the shop, but since has not even left the house unless I or my sister are home to help her.

Please help by donating anything you can. If we reach our target and if there is anything extra it will go to the Parkinson's Foundation, as Parkinson's patients have to pay for their medication. I think many of you will be surprised that many sufferers can not even afford their medication, and they rely on donations from other Parkinson's patients who may have tried one type of medication which has not been sufficient for them. Parkinson's disease is very cruel, there is currently no cure, just medication which eventually becomes ineffective.

Please help, every little helps. Thank you in advance.
