Help Floki – my beloved Bengal needs your help
Floki is my beloved Bengal cat. He lives with me in Malmö together with his best friends Hobbe and Holly – two other Bengals. Together, they’re like the Three Musketeers – inseparable. Ever since Floki moved in with us 6.5 years ago, he has been a special part of my life.
But right now, he’s fighting for his life.
Last Saturday, Floki suddenly became very ill. He stopped eating and drinking, became lethargic, and eventually couldn’t even stand. I rushed him to the emergency animal hospital in Malmö, where he was immediately admitted and put on an IV. After several tests and an ultrasound, the vets found a tumor in his stomach – requiring emergency surgery.
The following days were heartbreaking. It was uncertain whether he would survive. I was devastated, and Hobbe and Holly searched anxiously for their friend.
Thankfully, he survived the surgery and was able to come home after a few days. But the happiness didn’t last long.
A week later, Floki got sick again. He couldn’t go to the bathroom, refused to eat – and had to be hospitalized once more. He’s still at the animal hospital. I’m still waiting for the biopsy results, and his future is uncertain.
While I’m doing everything I can to save him, I’m also deeply worried about the financial burden.
Just being admitted costs 6,000–7,000 SEK per night – not including tests, treatments, and emergency procedures. His insurance has long since maxed out – and I’ve already paid more than I can afford.
