As many of you know, my mom has had two brain surgeries. The surgeries were done at Jackson Memorial Hospital, through the Veterans Administration.  Since the surgeries, the last 18 years she has been in severe pain. The VA has done every possible procedure in hopes of relieving any of the pain.....WITH NO SUCCESS!  Mom has a condition  called " Arnold Chairi Malformation, basically her brain stem is sitting on top of her spinal cord.  The last three months she has had 3 Spinal Nerve Blocks, botox injections, 6 emergency room visits, traction, lumbar puncture, 4 CAT scans, and 6 MRI's. This week she decided to go to a civilian emergency room, since the VA had exhausted all avenues. Mom went to JFK Medical Center on 45th Street in West Palm where they preformed an MRI. The ER doctor came in with the results and said "OH MY GOSH", the ambulance will be here any minute to transport you to JFK Main Hospital in Lake Worth where the Nuerosurgeon will be waiting. That was Tuesday and it's now Friday and my Mom is still at the hospital. The surgeons scheduled Mom for surgery Sat morning where they will be doing an (ACDF) Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion C3, C4, C5 and C6.  The surgeon said that C5 and C6 are trashed along with L3, L4.
From what I understand, this week at the hospital/Surgery is going to cost a lot of money. It's just Me, my sister Karson and my Mom, and Mom hasn't worked because of the pain.  I know we don't have any money to pay towards this surgery that is why she didn't ever go to a different hospital. After surgery Mom cant drive for 4-6 weeks and she will need help doing most things. Surgeon said that Mom will lose 25% of her mobility in her neck FOREVER.  
Karson and I love our mom and we thought we could help her by reaching out to everyone. Most of you that know that my mom has always given and helped others when they needed it.
Now its our turn to HELP!!  Any amount will help. This is our gift to her to show her how much we care.
We just want our mom back without pain and without worries.
