Last night on May 23rd my mothers house caught fire when a birds nest inside a porch lamp got too hot. My brothers room and one bathroom are completely gone. The rest of the house is fine, and my mom, brother and grandma have their necessities, we are just so thankful everyone got out and is ok.
With this being a modular home, it’s very likely the home can not be repaired which leaves my family with tons of uncertainty. While we are waiting for insurance to do their thing, I’m making this for my mom and brother to assist with the damages from their fire, but only at the insistence of those around us who love her and want to help.
I want it to be clear that mom did not ask for me to do this, she isn’t even sure of her needs at this moment, but so many of you wanted to help in some way.
My mom is still so thankful for how generous so many of you were with dad and the last thing she wants is to feel like a charity. I told her she’s just so loved and people want to help. Feel free to share, but I’m no way feel like you have to do anything. We love you all so much and we’re so appreciative of the outpouring of love for our family.
