Hi everyone, my name is Jordan Rector. I’m a coworker of Brian Mason, and I unfortunately witnessed firsthand the traumatic events that took place at Buzzmill on Wednesday, October 28, around 9 p.m.
That evening, two of my coworkers were violently attacked by an unwelcome visitor who had been asked to leave the premises. Brian, who was working security, stepped in to help de-escalate the situation and protect those around him. During the incident, he was stabbed multiple times. Brian was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he underwent a blood transfusion and emergency surgery to repair a wound to his neck. He is currently in the trauma intensive care unit. Thankfully, he is now stable and beginning to recover.
Although the full extent of his medical expenses is still unknown, we know the financial burden will be significant. Between the ambulance ride, emergency surgery, blood transfusions, ICU stay, continued medical treatment, rehabilitation, and time away from work, the costs will quickly add up.
Anyone who knows Brian knows the kind of person he is. He is kindhearted, level-headed, and someone who brings a calm and reassuring presence to those around him. He stepped in to help others when they needed it, and now it's our turn to be there for him. We are asking the Buzzmill community, friends, family, and anyone whose heart is moved by Brian's story to come together and support him during this incredibly difficult time.
No donation is too small. Every contribution, regardless of size, will make a meaningful difference in helping Brian focus on what matters most: healing and recovery. All donations will go directly toward Brian's medical expenses and recovery-related needs, including hospital bills, emergency treatment, rehabilitation, lost wages, and everyday expenses while he is unable to work.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much. Every bit of support, kindness, and encouragement helps.
Thank you for keeping Brian in your thoughts and for showing him that he is not alone. Let's come together and help someone who has done so much for others.
Patric also deserves our support during this difficult time. If you would like to contribute to his recovery, his link can be found here: Patric’s GoFundMe.
