Buzzing for Trees in Greenland and Birds in Africa 24th May
Donation protected
Hi! I’m Andrew, a geology student at the University of St Andrews. This summer, I’m incredibly fortunate to be contributing to global conservation efforts in both Tanzania and Greenland. To support these causes, I’ll be shaving off my mullet with a full buzzcut to raise funds!
I'm splitting the donations between two incredible charities making a real difference:
Attraction Birds Conservation (Tanzania)
This grassroots NGO empowers young Tanzanians through environmental education, bird conservation, and skills training. I’ll be volunteering with them for 6 weeks, helping teach English to aspiring local guides and supporting bird conservation in Arusha National Park — one of the world’s richest bird habitats. This charity also uplifts women through sustainable tourism training and creates employment pathways in conservation.Your donation will go towards purchasing teaching equipment and resources.

Greenland Trees
Run by scientists, this charity addresses climate change where it’s most visible — by planting native trees in southern Greenland. They restore landscapes, increase biodiversity, support local education, and capture CO₂ in the Arctic. I’ll be spending 5 weeks in Greenland on a geological mapping project and will work sustainably and help raise awareness for this vital cause.

Both projects reflect my passion for environmental protection, youth empowerment, and sustainable futures. All funds raised will go directly to these charities - I will provide proof!
Thank you so much for your support and helping me promote conservation!
