Hi, I'm Kimberleigh and I'm raising money for my dear friend of 36 years, Maria Friemark-Herrin. She's the best person to tell her story so I will let her tell it. This is a message she recently posted to Facebook:

 

Hey all. I haven't shared much personal info on my Facebook page but I feel that this needs saying. I am looking for support and positivity as I deal with my 50th birthday surprise.

August 13th, I broke my hip. August 16th, I had full hip replacement. August 17th, I learned I have bone cancer and that there's a primary cancer most likely in my colon. I will be seeing a lot of doctors and having many visits to doctors' offices for various reasons. If any of you truly know me you know that going to the doctor is not my favorite thing. I have a fight in front of me and I'm all pumped to be in the kicked cancer's butt list. Also through this I will need patience and understanding as I'm tired and trying to rest and gain strength as I get ready to begin my fight. I may not be able to visit or chat or be my normal self and I ask you beforehand to dismiss any grouchy or non-characteristic behavior on my part. I love everyone and look forward to being able to give the good news of cancer being fully kicked! Thanks! ❤
