Further to that Facebook post, loads of people asked if they could buy Christopher a pint too… so here ya go.
And here’s the post again..
So, you know how it feels a bit like there is an excess of arseholes in the world at the moment? ..Well, this is Christopher.
My 77 year old mum was tootling along on the motorway yesterday when two of her tyres went. The recovery fella had never seen anything like it, said she was lucky to be alive.
Except ‘lucky’ is probably not quite right.. because what actually happened is that this fella saw it happen and immediately pulled up his lorry to protect her from traffic. He then made sure my mum was okay, calmed her, and then held her hand and walked her to a safe place where there was a barrier.
He called the police and breakdown.. and then continued to hold her hand, chatting about his life and making her laugh for an hour and a half until they arrived. Refusing to leave her side until they did.
In a world of arses, it’s a lovely reminder that some humans are actually pretty awesome.
And if anybody knows Christopher let me know, I’d like to buy that man a pint.
(Also, my mum is now a bit in love with him. But don’t mention that just in case it weirds him out).
