A Mother’s Heart, Still Healing
Hi, my name is Sharon, and I never imagined I’d be here , writing these words, trying to find my way through the unthinkable. Recently I lost my son to an accidental gun death.
There are no words that can capture that kind of pain. Some days, even breathing feels heavy.
Writing became the only thing that helped me survive the silence. Through tears and sleepless nights, I began to pour into back trying to write like I used to, something that’s helped me face each day when I didn’t think I could.
I haven’t been able to return to work yet. Grief has a way of pausing everything , your body, your mind, your world. This month, I’m struggling to make my rent of $1,300. It’s not easy for me to share that. But I also know that sometimes, healing means allowing others to help you stand when you can’t stand alone.
Instead of asking for donations, I’m asking for something that feels more meaningful to me , please consider purchasing my book. It’s $25, and every copy helps me stay in my home as I continue therapy and try to rebuild my strength. More than that, it helps me share my story with others who are also grieving, anxious, or just trying to find light in dark places.
If you can’t buy a book right now, simply sharing this post, or donating or keeping me in your prayers is a gift in itself.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for caring about a mother still learning how to live again.
With love and gratitude,
Sharon (Resha Da Writta)
