Buy Nigel some time to make precious memories
Donation protected
My name is Ellie, my dad, Nigel has been to and from hospital with various respiratory diagnosis since 2020. During that time his health has declined considerably. My Dad has never smoked, and always kept active with body building and football. He is now on 24-hour oxygen therapy and unable to walk more than a few steps without becoming completely breathless. His probable diagnosis is HUVS – a rare inflammatory disease. We were told in March 2025 that we had exhausted all viable treatments available on the NHS due to the complex nature of the disease.
Following this, we started to look at other options. Gleneagles Hospital in Chennai, India, reviewed Dad’s reports and believe that Pulmonary Denervation Therapy may be feasible. This will not cure him but will alleviate some of his symptoms and improve his quality of life.
Dad’s Grandchildren are his world. Four, between the ages of 9 months and 7 years. My two-year-old daughter often reminds me that ‘Grampy is my best friend’.
Our only option to give my dad time with his Grandchildren, is to raise enough money to pay for private treatment in India to help extend the time they can spend together, making memories and leaving the children memories to look back on and know how much he adores them.
Funds will be used to cover the cost of treatment and hospital stay in Chennai.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give to our family.
