It is with the heaviest of hearts that we are having to write this. Jo has had some devastating news, and being the selfless person that she is, i feel its time we all help her for once!
Jo had a lovely 2 days competing at Colchester Agility Club last weekend. Monkey got his mojo back in the ring to win out of G4 on Friday, winning the G4-5 Agility, great place to do it as he also got a special winning out rosette! Saturday he also won G4-5 jumping, so qualified for the finals on Saturday evening. He looked a little tired in the finals, and he’d only done 5 classes over the 2 days competing, we put it down to him being unsure with the audience watching, but he got round the G4-7 course with 5F refusal and a couple of times faults.
On Sunday Jo booked him in to see the vets the following day as she had noticed his lymph nodes under his chin were enlarged and getting bigger by the day. Investigations done then and further scans have shown that he has stage 4 or 5 Lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes) which has already spread to his lungs and spleen.
It is most likely Mr Roo has B-Cell Lymphoma, though not yet 100% confirmed, we are awaiting test results for this, which depending on how Monkey deals with the vet trips and treatment, he is going to start CHOP (chemo for this type of Lymphoma).
This all comes at an approximate cost of £4.5K. Jo, as always, doesn't even want to ask for help with funding this, but anyone who has ever met Monkey will know what a loveable boy he is, with his excellent 'tigger' jumping skills, his beautiful yodeling and of course his outstanding Agility performances, its time we help Jo for once.
Any donation whether just £1 will help our boy and ease the pressure off Jo in hopefully giving him the best chance to manage this awful situation.
In Jo's words:
Life. Is. So. Shit. Sometimes. Numb
Thank you everyone for reading this and any donations you are able to make.
