Buy it Forward - Supporting Small Businesses in Sayreville is a townwide initiative to help Sayreville Businesses stay afloat during the Covid-19 pandemic shutdowns.
Due to the current circumstances many buisnesses are struggling to stay open and maintain their staff employed. Unfortunately our buisness, Cocina Borinquena, located in Sayreville, New Jersey, is one of the many who are suffering due to the pandemic. Our buisness had just celebrated it's very 1st anniversary the week before the pandemic caused many to shut down. We were pretty much in our infancy stage and now had to navigate this very real, very scary possibility of having to shut down and close our doors for good. We are a small, family owned business and have put all of our hopes and dreams, our blood, sweat and tears into making this a successful business, where people love to come and eat and learn something about our culture. We have been fortunate enough to able to remain open, although in a reduced capacity, throughout the pandemic to serve our community. We have adjusted as best as possible, incorporating services such as Grubhub and Doordash to help stay afloat as we had to shut down our main source of sales, our dining room.
We are extremely grateful to everyone we have encountered during our short time here. We are incredibly humbled by every guest that comes in and asks how are we doing. By customers telling us that we just can't close our doors because we would be missed. There are no words to describe how wonderful it feels to hear how happy our guests are, many who have become friends, with our product. We want to be able to keep our doors open. Hopefully with your help we can continue to do so. Your donation will help us keep our business afloat, it will go towards keeping our staff employed, it will also help with bills like rent, food supplies, help offset the added costs of buying extra takeout containers, and utility bills. Even the smallest donation will make a great impact to us. We hope to keep serving you all for many years to come with your help and support!!
