Buy Badger a houseboat after his was burned out

Badger is a homeless man who's home (boat) was burned out 3 years ago. He's currently sleeping in a tent (bivy) with his dog Lottie in Logan’s Meadow in Cambridge. He has cleaned up the park and spends his days hand carving wooden mushrooms to sell on the street as well as making bracelets. He's never taken money from the Government in benefits of any kind and survives by the skills he has leaned. I would like to raise at least £8000 to buy him a reasonable small houseboat so Badger and Lottie don't have to spend another winter in the cold and wet... Badger is a really decent man who I've known personally for many years and right now he needs a bit of help to get him back on his feet.
