After a donation of £930 by an anonymous donor, the GoFundMe is up to a mind-blowing £3,500.

This is truly an astonishing amount of money from the generous people who donated, regardless of the amount—a total of 124 brilliant human beings. I am stumped and discombobulated, struggling to find the words. It now means potentially getting an all-terrain mobility scooter and a foldable scooter for travelling in a car. This would extend the possibilities of travel and a social life beyond what I dreamed of. It sounds overly dramatic, doesn't it? Well, it would to someone who has the choice to stroll to the shops or walk around a museum or a park. I don't have that choice. I can drive somewhere, by all means; I can park my car, sit in it, and watch the world go by, or even walk 50 metres or so, but after that, I am done—mainly due to the fatigue and pain the next day. This means I would be able to drive to a destination, use a lift or hoist to get my scooter out of the boot, and go enjoy a day out with family and friends—something which I have not been able to do for 10 years or so.
