Buy a Cup of Coffee for Beard

Hello All

As many of you know, Jim Heard aka "Beard" was a close friend of mine. I'm devastated by his death but eternally grateful that I was able to be with him and his family during the past two weeks. He passed peacefully with the music of The Eagles (one of his favorite bands) playing softly as he gently slipped out of this world.

Jim was a man of simple tastes and enjoyed his work as a production assistant very much. It was the last of his many careers and being part of a show gave him a lot of joy. He was excellent at his job and no one could holler "Rolling!" any better.

He worked in the film biz because he enjoyed it but also because it helped provide for household expenses. His amazing wife Sherry has been taking care of her elderly father full time for several years. She is unable to leave him alone and can't really work outside the house. Sherry also took care of Jim on her own while he was sick and I am continually in awe of her strength and grace.

The loss of Jim's income has meant things are a lot tighter financially for Sherry. Many folks have asked if there is anything they can do to help right now....so I'm asking for everyone to please consider a small donation to help provide a little relief for their ongoing expenses. Beard adored a good cup of joe...so please consider donating the cost of a cup of coffee or two.

Also...I've set up a gmail account for Sherry to recieve photos of Beard. Please feel free to email her pictures and stories. A post with the email is pinned to my facepook page (since I don't seem to be able to include it here).
