FC Lakeside, Gulu Football Academy & Ability Sports Africa are working together to raise funds to buy footballs, at £15 each, for children to use in their schools, clubs and communities.

The various football initiatives and projects setup by Ability Sports Africa and Gulu Football Academy have given hundreds of children access to football during weekly sessions. However, outside of these sessions, access to footballs for more casual play in communities, playgrounds and schools can be very limited. You simply don’t see children playing with footballs like you do in The UK, even more so in more rural areas.

Having donated over 200 pairs of football boots and various kits to the children playing in the ASA Junior Premier League, FC Lakeside are now asking for donations to help buy locally made footballs at £15 each.

We really appreciate all of the support that we have received in previous campaigns and know this one, if we reach our target, will have a great impact on the children, allowing them to play the beautiful game outside of the organised sessions currently ran by brilliant volunteers.
