Hi! My name is Matt and I've decided that for my midlife crisis that I want to make a board game, inspired by an old God Sim PC game from my childhood. I've made a LOT of parts from recycled cardboard for a basic playtest version, and after positive feedback we decided that the next step would be actually making pieces that fit together and don't have bits of frozen pizza attached to them.
The game has many moving parts and custom pieces that will be expensive to get done by other companies, also using a 3d printer will allow for more customisation and integration between pieces and the board.
The aim is to eventually put the game up on Kickstarter when I can afford to pay artists and get a full prototype running (my personal profile is Mattalingus on Instagram, so follow there for updates).
I'm looking to get a Flashforge Adventurer 5X 3D Printer for around £315 and a couple of the spools (the packs cost about £60 each).
