Happy February! It’s not just about Valentine’s Day and all the frills that come with it (although we do love chocolate in this house). It’s Turner Syndrome Awareness month!
Over the next month, our daughter Aoibh (pronounced Ave or Ava), would like to share some information about herself, share facts about Turner’s Syndrome and raise some money to help the Turner Syndrome Foundation.
More information about Turner Syndrome Foundation, Inc.— Turner Syndrome affects 1 in 2,000 females. That's over two million women and girls worldwide! Through the support of research initiatives and the development of educational and awareness programs, TSF seeks to increase professional progress in order to enhance access to appropriate medical care. Early diagnosis, comprehensive treatment and lifelong education assist in navigating related physical, cognitive, emotional and social issues. Because Aoibh was only recently diagnosed, early diagnosis (even prenatal diagnosis) and awareness is especially important to us. (We will share our story in the first update & you can follow along with us if you choose).
You can help us! Even if you are not able to financially donate, you can share this page and help bring awareness to Turner Syndrome. Thanks in advance for your consideration and contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
