Butler Family Needs Our Support
Donation protected
On Christmas morning, the Butler family faced an unimaginable tragedy when Almira “Jing” De La Cruz-Butler suffered a pontine brain hemorrhage. Unable to undergo surgery or other interventions, she remained on life support at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital for eight days, suspended between hope and the unknown. This time allowed her family to gather from across continents to hear from the doctors about the gravity of the situation.
In keeping with her selfless nature, Jing made one final, extraordinary gift: the gift of life to four others through organ donation. She was a passionate and loving mother to three children—Isabella Joseline De La Cruz Butler (16), Jarrod Butler Jr. (13), and Finleigh Madeleine De La Cruz-Butler (10)—as well as a devoted wife, sister, and aunt. A pillar of strength, she was an integral part of her family and community.
Jing’s professional life reflected the same compassion she showed in her personal life. As a dedicated immigration attorney, she profoundly impacted countless lives. Her unwavering commitment to her clients and tireless advocacy for justice set her apart as a beacon of hope for those navigating complex immigration challenges. With every case, she not only provided legal expertise but also extended empathy, understanding, and respect to individuals and families seeking a better future. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, and her remarkable work will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her impact will never be forgotten.
The Butler family owns and operates Team Butler Bonney Lake Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a local Washington state academy. For years, they have given so much to the community—teaching, inspiring, and bringing people together. Now, they need our help.
With the academy now serving as their sole source of income, the family faces mounting medical bills and expenses during this incredibly challenging time. Jing’s medical bills have already surpassed $120,000, and the final total is still unknown. This fund aims to provide the support they need to navigate this difficult journey.
If you’re able, please consider donating to this fund or sharing this post to help spread the word. Every bit of support—big or small—makes a difference.
